Sample Itinerary

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival offers a myriad of venues for tours. This is a sample what I would suggest as a “typical” tour. Many of our events and activities happen only one, two or three days. 10 am Arrive in Skagit County

Visit Country Tim Alpacas – Experience alpacas at a family farm with 40+ alpacas including babies, fiber studio and country store. Self-guided tour through the farm. 5168 SR 9, Sedro-Woolley, WA (360)854-9498.

Take Highway 20 from the alpacas until intersection at

Arrive at RoozenGaarde: a three acre display garden with formal plantings, snacks to eat (espresso, light food, etc.) and a gift shop. Please call ahead with your reservations so they know you are coming.

Board bus and journey from RoozenGaarde to the Kiwanis Salmon Barbecue at Hillcrest Park in Mount Vernon (travel time about 15 minutes). From RoozenGaarde, turn right out of loading area onto

Kiwanis Club 20th Annual Salmon Barbeque – Delicious me al includes alder grilled salmon with baked potato, coleslaw, garlic bread, beverages and ice cream. Art Shows: Four Art Shows are going on during the festival, each offering a different venue for visitors.

ALN Art Bash – Now appearing at the Tulip Valley Vineyard & Orchard.  Delight your senses with exceptional Art Work (demonstrated daily) while sipping the Vineyard's wine and cider. Proceeds from our Poster Sales & Raffles support local HS Art Scholarship programs.  Watch for our weekend events.

Art in a Pickle Barn – 20th Annual Festival Art Show.  Over 40 artists presenting Fine Art, Prints, Photography, Cards, Jewelry, Sculpture, more. Music, Demos, Kids Crafts- Check events for daily activities.  Sales help fund Skagit Valley Community College Scholarships. Free Admission. Handicap Accessible, RV parking. Art at the Schoolhouse- Stanwood Camano Arts Guild, a group of talented and award winning artists, is a first ti me Tulip Festival participant offering fine art and crafts for your ho me and garden.  Co me to the historic c. 1888 school house at Christianson's Nursery.    Open 9AM-6PM. 

Pleasant Ridge Gallery at Rexville &ndashSQL_INJECTION_ATTEMPTs at www.geocities.com/rexvillegallery.  Open daily April 4-April 20 11am-6pm.

Carpenter Creek Winery – Skagit Valley ’s premier boutique winery. Sample some of Skagit County 's finest wines and local gourmet products.

Eagle Haven Winery & Vineyard – The winery lies at the foot of the North Cascades where mountain streams and Skagit soils produce grapes that are destined to become memorable wine. Producing 5 grape wines and 4 fruit wines that are sure to delight your Tulip Experience. 

Pasek Cellars Winery – Wine maker Gene Pasek crafts unique and delicious wines from Washington grapes, plus tropical and NW fruits. Stop by our tasting room at Exit 221 at the Conway Skagit Barn and sample the Official Tulip Festival wines. 11-5 daily. (360) 445-4048. www.pasekcellars.com.

Tulip Valley Orchard and Vineyard – Free Tasting. Stop by the Big Red Barn for award winning Hard Cider and Wine. Take a break and enjoy a glass on the deck.  Enjoy original artwork by Art League Northwest Bash. Official Hard Cider of the festival. Finish the tour day by visiting our other display garden, Tulip Town . Tulip Town has an indoor display garden, vendors, food service, and 60 varieties of tulips in their field. Visitors can either walk thru the acres of blooming tulips or take a trolley ride out in the fields. Open April 1-30, 9 am to 5:30 pm. Admission adults $5. Leave Tulip Town at 5:15 pm. Be sure to drive by the 100s of acres of farmers fields of tulips in our area. To plan your route, you will need an Official Tulip Festival brochure (free). You can request it from www.tulipfestival.org.

Suggested dinner options for tour groups (please call ahead for reservations):

Farmhouse Inn- A Skagit Valley Landmark. Country charm, warm family atmosphere and homestyle cooking. Prime Rib buffet, traditional turkey dinners, yummy sandwiches and salads, freshly-baked desserts, including our famous Mile-High lemon meringue pie.  In-house catering available.

Anacortes Brewery and Rockfish Grill – Serving fresh Northwest food including steak, seafood, sandwiches, daily specials and signature wood-fired pizzas. Ales and lagers brewed on site. Families welcome. Live Jazz, Blues, and roots every week.

Max Dale's Steak & Chop House – Warm, cozy atmosphere, private booths.  Serving steak, prime rib and seafood for over 50 years. Lunch M-F from 11:30 a.m., Dinner 7 days a week from 4 p.m.  Daily Happy Hour specials in the lounge. Reservations gladly accepted.

Cafe – The only Mexican Restaurant serving the Skagit Valley for over 40 years.  Home of the original smothered burrito. Open 7 days a week.  Serving Mexican & American beer and great margaritas!  Great place to relax after your tulip visit. Nonsmoking restaurant.

Royal Fork Buffet – Family Buffet - Eight food lines - Everybody welcome - Special prices for children and seniors.
