Skiing & Snowmobiling
There are many choices when it comes to Cross-Country Skiing and Snowmobiling in Skagit County. Baker Lake is a great place to start your winter wonderland exploration!
Explore nine-mile long Baker lake during the winter for a wealth of outdoor experiences. Hike the Baker Lake Trail along the less-developed eastern shoreline of the lake. Cross the Baker River at the north end of the lake and head into the heart ofthe North Cascades National Park at Sulphide Creek. Head over the Baker dam and access the Anderson Creek Road FS 1107 for snowmobiling, cross country skiing and winter activities. This is a designated Sno-Park and requires a pass available at the North Cascades National Park office in Sedro-Woolley.
For downhill skiing, Skagitonians take a day trip to Mt Baker Ski Area in our neighboring Whatcom County.
