Bite of Skagit ~ July 31st 2010 (12-4)
The Bite of Skagit is a one-day outdoor event held in downtown Mount Vernon. Restaurants from all of Skagit County are invited to participate and offer "bites" from their menus to the public through ticket sales at the event. A portion of the sales at the event benefits the Skagit Food Share Alliance. In addition to the food, there is a beer & wine garden, live music, cooking demonstrations and a presentation by Graham Kerr. During the Bite of Skagit, downtown Mount Vernon will also be hosting the annual sidewalk sale and the farmer's market. Bite of Skagit proceeds are used to purchase produce from local farmers to feed the hungry in Skagit County. Bite of Skagit and YOU are supporting local agriculture and helping to end local hunger.
