Skagit Valley Highland Games
The 2010 Skagit Valley Highland Games will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 10 & 11 at Edgewater Park in downtown Mount Vernon. The weekend of Celtic fun typically draws over 10,000 people for the weekend including competitors and participants from around the Pacific NW region, Lower Mainland of BC and beyond.
The Skagit Valley Highland Games features solo piping, drumming and Highland dancing competitions, traditional athletic events, pipe band competitions, sheepdog trials, children's events, arts, crafts and food vendors, Scottish Clan (family) information, Scottish cultural information, harps, fiddles. Fun family oriented activites! There is also a beer garden, and whiskys of the world tent for adults.
Every year the event showcases a Celtic music headliner!
